The George is an attractive 18th century inn, situated in the heart of the bustling market town of Dereham.
The elegant Georgian building houses a spacious bar, restaurant and conservatory. On a sunny day the outside terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or meal. We have 7 en suite bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed and roll top bath which would be perfect as a bridal suite.
The George is an independent family run free house ran by husband and wife team Gareth and Rebecca Williams. Gareth is head chef, with a wealth of 17 year's experience. Gareth's passion is fresh food made with the best local ingredients. Here in Norfolk we are spoilt for choice as we are surrounded by farmland and are in such close proximity to the sea. This allows us the opportunity to source only the best fresh food on a daily basis. Our team of chefs cook all of our food to order in our kitchen. Here at the George we have experience in hosting many functions. We are only 20 minutes from Norwich and are located in very close proximity to the A47. This makes us a great location for any event. We also have a large secure car park.
Along with its popular bar and restaurant, the george offers 7 fully refurbished en suite bedrooms. We offer full bed and breakfast in our en suite double rooms, twin room and single occupancy rooms.....
The George is run by Gareth and Rebecca Williams. As head chef/landlord Gareth brings over 16 years of experience in catering. His passion is traditional and classic British pub food. Gareth and his team of chefs source only the best, fresh local produce for use in the seasonal menus.
